39. PANAEONIC VISION OF HORUS.....YOU RANG?

     December, 1981. M and I take the Christmas train from Vancouver to Montréal, Quebec ("La Belle Province", motto - "Je me souviens" ("I remember"), flag - "La Fleurdelisé"; official tree - the yellow birch; avian emblem - the snowy owl). I was in the throes of guilt for abandoning my (deported from Canada) teenage sister, to her own fate in Seattle. C'est la vie. Merde d'une licorne. Snowbound for days on the rails, we wound-up frozen at our destination, M's designer friend Claire's two-story, downtown apartment on Overdale St. I wasn't surprised (nor overly amused) to meet his adoring, Vampiresque coven of deathly-pale, white-blond, angelic waifs, living on Black Beauties and red Ritalins (pharmaceutical methamphetamines, a.k.a. speed). 
     We popped these commodities of the "live fast, die young" set like candy. One evening, sitting around the kitchen table, as if by Command from On High, a golden-hued head with a bird-nosed visage (considerably larger than human-sized) materialized, hovering in mid-air, steadily gazing at me........ 

     Beaming light from a sparkling silver disc in the center of His Forehead, this Mystical Being communicated, via telepathy, that He was none other than the Falcon-headed, Sky God, Horus, Son of Isis and Osiris. In the Egyptian pantheon, Horus symbolizes the Rising Sun (The Powers of Resurrection), Truth, Vengeance, and Protection (from the inundating forces of the Nile, and the wiles of His twin and adversary, Set, or Seth (Lord of the Desert, Storms, War, and Chaos, Consort of Astarte, and Sire of the God of the Underworld, Anubis).

      Horus is also known in the Ptolemaic Greek as Harpocrates ; the crowned and conquering Child-God of the current Aeon, upholding secrecy and silence in the best Mystery School tradition (with his forefinger raised to his mouth). Leading the New Aeon in tandem with his twin sister, Maat, Goddess of Truth and Balance, Horus is a harbinger of the human race becoming telepathic. Along with Ibis-headed-hybrid Divinity Thoth, he represents the "spiraling evolution of consciousness through the alchemy of Time. His right eye is the Sun, left eye the Moon, and third eye the Wedjat - the Repository / Keeper of Secret Esoteric Wisdom."1

      The room, and everyone in it, shrank into a hazy matrix, while the Wedjat of Horus transfixed me, the familiar "All-Seeing Eye" (chosen by the Founders of America and the Masonic Order to uphold their lineage / agenda, ubiquitous as the capstone of the pyramid, printed on the back of every dollar bill) (apparently, as legends go, Set knocked out Horus' eye in mortal combat, and we're left with the floating and resurrecting reminder).

 Whatever download or transmission I received from this sub-consciously invoked, eye-opening encounter with the Big-Headed Hawk Lord, was instantaneous. To mark its mystical portent, I drew His Likeness on a scroll of papyrus (ok, paper!) and sealed it inside an amulet. Hail Horus! Thee authenticating Talisman! (from the Greek, telein; "to initiate into the Mysteries").
